Self Storage Unit - Case Study
Application requirements
In a self-storage business, management of access to both the front gate and individual lockups is critical, as well as to be able to view the location for security purposes. Further, it should be as painless as possible for customers of said storage unit to access their locker.
It should be easy for the owner of the business or their appointed administrator to configure the unit and manage user access.

End User Use
For example, there could be a unit on the front gate named “gate” and a device on the individual customers’ locker with their locker number on. This would allow them to enter the premises and their storage unit on one simple app without the hassle of carrying a proximity tag, remote control etc.
Business Owner/Administrator Use
By fitting the PRO Control unit to the front gate and each individual locker, pairing each with a
Hikvision ColorVu camera, the owner of the storage unit is not only able to completely manage who is granted access to the facility itself and view a camera for each device, but also for each individual locker as well.
For example, in the event an individual doesn’t pay, the business owner or administrator can revoke access until payment is made and monitor the lockers via event logs and the CCTV integration option available.
The Gate Control software from TELL is comprehensive and could be overwhelming for a first-time user, but with some training users can be added, removed or amended in a few clicks from a remote location.
Campsite - Case Study
Application requirements
The primary requirement for campsites is the ability to easily manage access to allow people who have booked to have access in/out of the site until the time they have booked for has concluded. The Pro Control fits the bill for this.

Similar to the self-storage application, the Pro Control will allow easy access for end users via their smartphones rather than each visitor having to carry and potentially forget proximity tags, cards or remote controls.

Campsites and similar businesses with regular foot traffic often find proximity tags, remote controls etc often are not returned on departure and so these must be replaced by the business. By using the Pro Control via the end-users’ smartphone, the customers access is terminated automatically if correctly configured by the administrator meaning that there is no need to worry about remote controls being returned.
When using old-fashioned physical keypads, proximity systems and radio remote controls, programming will involve physically going to the unit and performing the programming procedure and then making notes of which tag is programmed where and who has taken it. With the Pro Control, users can easily be programmed in a matter of seconds from a remote location via desktop software. Names and locations are logged automatically on the desktop software and are also easily removed (either automatically based on time or manually if configured on an indefinite basis).
