Underground Motor Gate Opener

We have selected this electric gate motor for its power and unique features E.g. Fully bushed centre spindle, bushed links and patented mechanical motor stop.

Specification

Gate Weight Max. 800kg, Maximum wing size 3.5m each, Thermal protection 150 degrees, Maximum opening angle 120 degrees (180 degrees with chain kit), Thrust 3500 Nm - (or 350kg), Ingress protection to IP67.

Use this motor on smaller gates the price difference may be small, but the quality difference is great.

Important

If you are considering underground motors you need a minimum of 65mm from your gate hinge point to the post.  Also we do not advise the use of soak always, we prefer drainage to a drain, or lower laying land.  The reason being all underground motors when new will work underwater, but to avoid water entering the motor after time, it is better to correctly drain the foundation boxes at the beginning.

If you cannot achieve this, look at our compact above ground gate openers or Maxim gate openers as an alternative, it offers a near invisible profile from the outside of the gate.  Battery back up is also available on our Alpha range.
